GUIDED HIKING TRIP TO VIRNIKOV GRINTOVEC
EVERY MONDAY AT 9 A.M. AT THE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE
Join one of our mountain guides for the hike to the mountain Virnikov Grintovec, probably the peak with the most scenic view in the whole valley of Jezersko. We will start the hike from the Tourist Information Centre and proceed to the Old church of st. Oswald and farm Žmitek. Then we will proceed to the top of the mountain, where we will be rewarded with splendid views.
Meeting point: In front of the Tourist Information Centre ( Zgornje Jezersko 57)
Trail length: 8,2 km, Altitude difference: 760 m, Estimated hiking time: 4-5 h

GUIDED TOUR OF JEZERSKO NATURAL AND CULTURAL ATTRACTIONS
EVERY TUESDAY AT 10 A.M. AT THE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE
The path first leads us along the Jezernica creek and past the spring of the healing mineral water which we try straight out of our hands. From here we can already see the church of St. Andrew, which was built on a special location. We go past the church and head towards the Ffive-century-old Šenk homestead, where they specialize in sustainable agritourism.
We are happy to change the trip according to your wishes and together we can also visit other sights of Jezersko valley.

SHEEP SALTING ON MOUNTAIN PASTURE
EVERY WEDNESDY AT 9 A.M. AT ŠENK HOMESTEAD
We will meet at 9 a.m. at Šenk homestead, where Drejc Karničar will be waiting for you. Drejc is one of the top Slovenian climbers and a devoted sheep breeder. Please wear comfortable boots, clothes, anorak and also take something to drink. During the hike, Drejc will tell us a lot of interesting things about herding tradition in the Valley of Jezersko, the breeding of the Jezersko-Solčava sheep breed and the importace of sheep breedng today. When you will reach the pasture, you will look for the sheep herd. Then you will be able to treat the sheep with some salt. After the sheep salting experience, you will enjoy a snack and then return to the homestead in the early afternoon.
Estimated hiking time: 4-5h; Dogs are not allowed.

COOKING »MASUNJEK« ON AN OPEN FIRE
EVERY WENDESDAY AT 5 P.M. AT LAKE PLANŠAR
You will be able to see how shepherds used to prepare masunjek, a typical shepherd's dish, made from sweet and sour cream and mixed with buckwheat flour.
To reserve a spot at the experience, sign up at the Tourist Information Centre (min. 2 hours before the event)
The event will take place for min. 5 people.

GUIDED HIKING TOUR TO PETRIFYING SPRING WITH TRAVERTINE (TUFA) FORMATION AND TASTING AT ECO-FARM SPODNJI VIRNIK
EVERY THURSDAY AT 9A.M. AT THE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE
We will start the hike from the Tourist Information Centre and proceed to the Old Church of St. Oswald, the oldest building in the village. After an hour of hiking through the forest, we will arrive at the petrifying spring with travertine (tufa) formation, a unique natural attraction. When returning back, we will stop at eco-farm Spodnji Virnik, where we will taste their delicious dairy products.
Trail lenght: 7.6km; Altitude difference: 280m; Estimated walking time: 3 h.

DEMONSTRATION OF THE WOOL PROCCESING AT ŠENK HOMESTEAD
EVERY THURSDAY AT 4 P.M. AT ŠENK HOMESTEAD
The wool of the native Jezersko-Solčava sheep breed is of high quality and suitable for processing into various products. During the winter, the spinning wheel used to spin and the knitting needles used to dance on the farms. The skilful fingers of the ladies created different products; from socks and sweaters to blankets and small decorative items. On Šenk’s homestead we will show you the almost lost and forgotten tradition and with the help of the local masters, you will be able to become part of it yourself.

PLAY "JEZERSKE ŠTORIJE” (STORIES OF JEZERSKO)
FRIDAYS* AT 8 P.M.

In the 500-year-old Jenk’s barracks (nowadays the Etnographic museum), you will follow 3 stories from the life of the local people from many years ago. Actors, who are members of the local amateur cast, happily take roles of shepherds, horse and cart drivers and other people from our history to show the audience the past life in an authentic dialect of Jezersko. The stories were collected and written by Andrej Karničar in the book Jezerske štorije (Stories of Jezersko).

FILM SCREENINGS: CINEMA UNDER THE MOUNTAINS

Saturdays nights in late July and August the beautiful natural amphitheatre called ''Županov kot''(Mayor's corner) will transform into a cinema under the mountains, Film screenings will be versatile and funny. Summer nights in Jezersko can be quite cold, so we recommend you to bring some warm clothes or a blanket.
*in case of rain the film screenings will take place in the hall Korotan(Zgornje Jezersko 57).

HEALING POWERS OF THE FOREST
EVERY SUNDAY AT 3 P.M.. PARKING LOT AT THE RAVENSKA KOČNA VALLEY
With the licensed forest bathing guide, you will learn about healing powers of the forest. The main purpose of this experience is to show and bring closer the healing power of the forest, to equip visitors with effective techniques for coping with stress, and to show them effective tools for a better, calmer and more nature-related life.
The forest bathing experience lasts from 60 to75 minutes. The activity is carried out only in case of dry weather. The meeting point is at the bench at the parking lot in the Ravenska kočna. The meeting point will be clearly marked. We recommend that visitors park at Planšar lake or in the parking lot under ''turni'' and walk to the meeting point.

SHEEP BALL: The oldest Slovenian Etnographic event
Location: Lake Planšar, Restaurant: ''Gostišče ob Jezeru''
Restaurant ''Gostišče ob Jezeru'' and the Tourist Association of Jezersko every second Sunday in August organize Sheep Ball, the oldest Slovenian etnographic event. This year we celebrate already the 62nd anniversary of this unique event. The Sheep ball represents the culmination of sheep in the valley, related activities and cuisine. You will be able to taste masunjek with soured milk (a dish, made from sweet and sour cream and mixed with buckwheat flour) and žganci (buckwheat spoonbread) with sauerkraut were the typical shepherd's dishes. You should also try flancati (fried pastry) that are still today served at more festive events.
