Mountain hut Češka koča
Češka koča mountain hut is located 1543 m above the sea level on the flatter ground called Spodnje Ravni under the northern walls of Mt. Grintovec. It was built in 1900 by the Czech branch of Slovene Mountaineering Association in Prague after which the hut was named. The official opening was on the 26th July 1900. It has been renovated many times during the last 120 years but the style has remained original.
Access: Follow the asphalt road that goes around the lake Planšarsko jezero all the way to Ancel tourist farm. From there continue on a gravel road to the starting point of the cargo cableway, where there is a parking lot. Follow the signs on the trail. Estimated walking time is 1h 15min.
