The route takes us past Karničar Farm and on to the Old Church of St. Oswald. We then continue through the forest to Spodnji Virnik Farm, where we visit a traditional home dairy and cheese-making facility. The journey continues to the tufa spring (Lehnjak-forming spring) with its picturesque flowstone waterfall, followed by a descent along the Lehnjak Trail to a former quarry. Here, we learn about the formation, extraction, and architectural use of tufa stone.
