Komatevra Valley rute closed

Due to a rockfall, the road is closed at the entrance to the Komatevra valley.

There is a detour for pedestrians and touring cyclists on the following routes: Tourist farm Olipje - Eco farm Spodnji Virnik - Smrečje - Komatevra. The detour is partly paved and partly macadam.

Detour

Reconstruction will take approximately one month.

Winter conditions in the mountains

Despite the bad winter in the valley, the mountains still have completely winter conditions, which require a lot of knowledge and winter equipment (crampons, ice ax, helmet and avalanche safety gear) for a safe journey.
