64th Sheep Ball


This Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM onwards, the 64th Sheep Ball, the oldest ethnographic event in Slovenia, will take place at Lake Planšar.

Visitors will get to know the old customs of mountain life, watch the herding of sheep into the valley, and observe activities related to the processing of sheep's wool. At the same time, you will be able to treat your taste buds with numerous homemade dishes prepared in a traditional way.

Event Program:

  • 11:00 AM Opening of the event with a performance by Ansambel Jutro
  • 12:30 PM Performance by the Jezersko Children's Folklore Group
  • 1:00 PM Traditional sheep herding and a play by an amateur acting group about life in the mountains
  • 2:00 PM Performance by Ansambel Petra Finka

Throughout the event, there will also be a fair of local crafts.

Due to heavy snowfall, Park Jezersko is closed today, February 20. The park will reopen on Saturday, February 21, and Sunday, February 22, when visitors can enjoy the family ski area, snow tubing, and a mini sledding hill.

At Park Jezersko, the ski area and snow tubing will be open on Saturday, February 14. Tubing from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the ski area from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. During winter holidays, from February 15 to 22, Park Jezersko will be open every day, snow tubing from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the ski area from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM

You are invited to the Jezersko Ski Roots Downhill, which will take place on Carnival Sunday, 15 February 2026, at 2:00 PM in Park Jezersko, at the Jaga Baba ski slope in Sibirija.
